The Hong Kong Fire Department calls on citizens to beware of fake fundraising in the name of deceased employees' families.

According to a press release from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Hong Kong Fire Services Department called on citizens today to remain vigilant, stating that a video of unknown origin has been circulating online recently. The video falsely claimed to be raising funds on behalf of the family of deceased firefighter Ho Wai-ho, and used names that are extremely similar to the real bank account names of the family. The Fire Services Department has promptly referred the case to the police for further investigation.
