Minister Wang Wentao meets with United States Ambassador to China, Terry Branstad.
According to the Securities Times APP, on November 20, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with the US Ambassador to China, Terry Branstad. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on issues such as Sino-US economic and trade relations. Wang Wentao stated that on October 30, the heads of state of China and the United States held a meeting in Busan, South Korea. President Xi Jinping pointed out that China and the United States can fully achieve mutual success and prosperity; economic and trade should continue to be the ballast and propeller of Sino-US relations, rather than stumbling blocks and points of conflict. China is willing to work with the United States to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state. Both sides should establish a correct understanding that both countries must coexist and can win together, maintain the Sino-US economic and trade negotiation mechanism, control the uncertainties and instabilities in economic and trade relations, shorten the list of problems, and extend the list of cooperation, injecting more stability and certainty into the economies of both countries and the world.
