Increasing production of "Iron Dome" ammunition has been contracted by the Ministry of National Defense, with the majority of funding coming from US military aid.
On November 20th local time, the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced that it had signed a contract with the Israeli defense company Rafael worth several billion dollars, aimed at expanding the production capacity of the "Iron Dome" missile defense system. According to the agreement, Rafael will deliver a large number of "Iron Dome" intercept missiles to the Israeli military to further enhance the country's defense capabilities. It is reported that the military procurement funds come from a total aid package of $8.7 billion approved by the US Congress in April 2024, with $5.2 billion specifically for strengthening Israel's air defense system.
