Counterpoint Research: Chinese smartphone sales in October increased by 8% year-on-year, iPhone Q4 sales continue to rise.

According to the preliminary data from Counterpoint Research's China Market Pulse smartphone monthly sales tracking report, smartphone sales in October increased by 8% driven by a 37% year-on-year increase in Apple (AAPL.US) sales. "The iPhone 17 series continues to perform well for Apple, with the base and Pro models seeing the fastest growth," said senior analyst Ivan Lam. "Sales of the new iPhone account for a very high proportion, exceeding 80%, so with the increase in average selling price, we expect overall sales to further improve."
