The Chinese Communist Party held the second strategic dialogue with the German Social Democratic Party.
On November 18th, the second strategic dialogue between the Communist Party of China and the Social Democratic Party of Germany was held in Beijing. Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Klambaur, Co-Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Germany and Vice Chancellor and Minister of Finance of the Federal Republic of Germany, attended and delivered keynote speeches. Representatives from relevant Chinese ministries, think tanks, as well as members of the German Social Democratic Party delegation, also participated in the dialogue. Liu Haixing introduced the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, expressing China's willingness to share development opportunities with Germany and work together to maintain world peace and stability. The Communist Party of China is willing to work with the Social Democratic Party of Germany to make good use of the strategic dialogue mechanism, enhance exchanges and mutual learning, promote cooperation in various fields, and promote the healthy and stable development of China-Germany and China-EU relations. The German side stated that the Social Democratic Party of Germany is willing to strengthen exchanges with the Communist Party of China, and through the platform of the strategic dialogue mechanism, engage in candid and open dialogues on a wide range of topics such as relations between Germany, China, and the EU, climate change, artificial intelligence, regional peace and security, to enhance mutual understanding, expand consensus, and make efforts to jointly address global issues.
