French IT group Atos' subsidiary Eviden announced on Tuesday that it has jointly won a contract with American chip manufacturer AMD to build a new supercomputer in Europe to help narrow the technology gap with the United States in the region. This computer, named after French computer scientist Alice Recoque, will be installed in France with construction expected to start by the end of 2026.
