Beijing: Promoting the upgrading of cultural, tourism, and sports consumption
The People's Bank of China Beijing Branch and 12 other departments issued the "Implementation Plan for Financial Support for Boosting and Expanding Consumption in Beijing." The plan proposes to promote the upgrading of cultural, tourism, and sports consumption. Relying on the capital's function as the national cultural center and international exchange center, the plan aims to explore historical and cultural resources, focus on areas such as national reading, art performances, live streaming shopping, intangible cultural heritage inheritance, rural cultural tourism, folk culture and creativity, as well as the Beijing Consumption Season "Colorful Seasons" theme activities, innovate financing models, and increase credit support. It also seeks to enhance the leading and demonstration role of the Dongcheng District as a national cultural and financial cooperation demonstration zone, and improve the cultural financial service capabilities of banks in the jurisdiction.
The plan encourages financial institutions to leverage the advantage of being the "City of Dual Olympics," and enrich financial products around consumption scenes such as "events +," ice and snow economy, explore financing models such as "ticket income rights pledging," and focus on nurturing a high-quality event system and event operation enterprises.
