Former Nanjing Municipal Committee member Wu Jianping from Jiangxi Province was expelled from the party and dismissed from public office.

After investigation, Wu Jianping has lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original mission, failed to fulfill his main responsibility in strictly governing the party, engaged in speculation and opportunism, befriended political scammers, been disloyal and dishonest to the party, and resisted organizational inspections; violated the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulations, sought special treatment, accepted invitations and travel arrangements that could affect the impartial execution of official duties, indulged in extravagant banquets using public funds, and allowed others and other units to pay expenses that should have been paid by himself; deviated from organizational principles, did not truthfully explain issues when questioned by the organization, used his power and influence for personal gain in promotions and job transfers, and accepted money and gifts in violation of regulations; breached the bottom line of integrity, accepted gifts that could affect the impartial execution of official duties, and held shares of non-publicly traded companies illegally; violated work discipline, interfered and intervened in judicial activities; used his position to instruct others to dishonestly obtain state financial funds through methods such as falsely reporting expenses and expenses, and embezzling a large amount of state funds; engaged in corrupt exchanges of power for money, used his position and the convenient conditions formed by his power or status to seek benefits for others in engineering project contracts and cadre position adjustments.
