The State Intellectual Property Office is focusing on rectifying improper marketing activities of agency services on the Internet.

Recently, the Intellectual Property Use Promotion Department of the State Intellectual Property Office, together with relevant departments, organized an administrative guidance meeting to regulate improper marketing practices of agency services on the internet. Comrades from the State Administration for Market Regulation and relevant departments of the State Intellectual Property Office, as well as representatives from 10 internet platforms, attended the meeting. The meeting briefed on the progress of clearing up clues of improper marketing behavior of patent and trademark agencies recently sent to relevant platform companies, and interpreted the types of improper marketing behavior of agency services on the internet and the related disposal basis. According to statistics, at present, various relevant platform companies have intercepted more than 900 pieces of improper information related to intellectual property agencies, processed more than 22,000 related improper information or products, rectified more than 1,100 cases, banned nearly 500 accounts, and expanded the inspection word list to over 500.
