In order to meet the needs of energy conservation and the development of new energy vehicles industry, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a notice on the management of average fuel consumption and new energy vehicle points for passenger car enterprises in 2026-2027 in accordance with the "Parallel Management Measures for Average Fuel Consumption of Passenger Car Enterprises and New Energy Vehicle Points". The notice specifies the requirements for the proportion of new energy vehicle points and the calculation method of points for new energy vehicle models for the years 2026-2027. The adjustments in the notice include: Firstly, clarifying the proportion and points requirements for new energy vehicle points. The proportion of new energy vehicle points for 2026 and 2027 are required to be 48% and 58% respectively, with the standard model points for new energy passenger vehicles being reduced by 50% compared to the previous stage. Secondly, adjusting the technical requirements for new energy vehicle models. And thirdly, making other adjustments to adapt to the new circumstances of industry development, including increasing the rewards for low fuel consumption models, continuing the accounting discounts for small-scale enterprises, and continuing the technical accounting discounts for out-of-cycle technologies.
