The year-on-year growth rate of CPI is expected to rebound in October.
Recently, reporters interviewed several industry experts about the trends of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the Producer Price Index (PPI) for October that will soon be released. Based on industry analysis, overall price operation is stable in October, with the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays boosting prices for cultural and tourism consumption, leading to a potential increase in CPI year-on-year growth rate. Due to the easing of anti-"involution" policies and limited support from the demand side, PPI year-on-year may only experience slight changes. Regarding the trend of CPI in October, Wen Bin, Chief Economist of Minsheng Bank, said that he expects both month-on-month and year-on-year increases in October to be 0%. Zhongjin Company, on the other hand, predicts that the year-on-year CPI for October may turn from negative to positive, reaching 0.1%.
