Shenzhen Transportation Bureau Xu Wei: The autonomous driving industry led by taxi companies is about to be implemented.

Xu Wei, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Transportation Bureau, stated at the First Autonomous Driving Travel Ecology Forum today that Shenzhen is actively promoting the opening of the country's first city-wide roads to intelligent connected vehicles. Currently, Shenzhen has completed the full-element collection of 6,000 kilometers of roads in the city, and has established the country's first dynamic road right management system, allowing automated driving vehicles to travel on all roads in Shenzhen as long as they meet the conditions. Xu Wei also mentioned that in terms of L4, Shenzhen is promoting the transition from testing of technology enterprise products and technical capabilities to market operation by taxi companies, and it is expected that this new stage of the industry will be implemented by the end of this year through the first half of next year. In terms of L3, Shenzhen is working together with companies such as Huawei to promote relevant real-world testing.
