Brussels Airport finds drone, Belgian airspace closed.
On November 4th, local time, Skeyes, the company responsible for air traffic control in Belgium, announced that Brussels Airport, the capital of Belgium, received reports of a drone flying over the airport during the evening. As a precautionary measure, all air traffic at the airport was temporarily suspended. Initially, Brussels Airport announced that flights would be rerouted to Liege Airport in Belgium, but a spokesperson for Liege Airport later stated that the entire airspace of Belgium had been closed. The affected flights were rerouted to Maastricht Airport in the Netherlands.
