Czech three parties will form a coalition government and complete cabinet formation before the middle of next month.
Prague News: After winning the Czech parliamentary elections, the Czech opposition party "ANO Citizen Movement" signed a coalition agreement with two other opposition parties on the 3rd. The Czech News Agency reported that the next step for the ruling coalition would be to submit cabinet nominations, with the formation of the government expected to be completed by mid-December at the latest. The new Czech Chamber of Deputies held its first plenary session on the 3rd. Before the session began, the "ANO Citizen Movement" party led by former Prime Minister Andrej Babis, along with the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party and the "Drivers for themselves" party, officially signed a coalition agreement and announced their policy agenda. According to the agreement, the "ANO Citizen Movement" party will nominate 9 government members including the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, the "Drivers for themselves" party will nominate 4 ministers including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party will nominate 3 ministers including the Minister of Defense and appoint a representative as the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies. The Czech News Agency reported that the policy agenda announced by the three parties highlighted the new ruling coalition's strategic focus on reducing energy costs and ensuring energy security, providing affordable healthcare services, safeguarding public housing interests, ensuring fair pensions, and guaranteeing social security. In the Czech parliamentary elections held on October 4th, the "ANO Citizen Movement" party won with nearly 35% of the vote. The Czech Chamber of Deputies has 200 seats, and the newly formed ruling coalition holds 108 seats, a majority.
