Ideal car: The Ideal MEGA vehicle fire incident has not yet formed a final technical conclusion.

On October 31, Ideal Auto announced that on the evening of October 23, 2025, a fire incident involving an Ideal MEGA 2024 vehicle occurred in Shanghai, sparking close attention from users, media, and society. First and foremost, we express our sincere apologies to the car owner, and we understand the concerns and worries of our users. After the incident, we promptly contacted the car owner and actively cooperated with relevant departments to conduct investigations. Due to the need for users, fire departments, and relevant organizations to jointly conduct inspections and tests on the accident vehicles, this process must follow strict procedures and take a longer time. As of now, a final technical conclusion has not been reached. At the same time, we immediately launched an internal investigation and analysis, and rechecked the records of the cloud warning system and specialized verification data. The results showed that among the same batch of Ideal MEGA 2024 vehicles as the accident vehicle, due to inadequate corrosion resistance of the cooling liquid, under specific conditions, corrosion and leakage of the cooling aluminum plate in the cooling circuit of the power battery and front motor controller may occur, leading to malfunction indicator lights, limited power, and inability to power up, and in extreme cases, it may result in thermal runaway of the power battery, posing a safety hazard. Safety always comes first for Ideal Auto. In line with the principles of high responsibility for user safety and zero tolerance for potential hazards, we have proactively filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, and will conduct safety testing and replacement repairs on all Ideal MEGA 2024 vehicles from the same batch as the accident vehicle. We will spare no effort to investigate and eliminate every risk, ensure zero hazards, and resolutely safeguard the safety of each user's driving.
