The 2026 China All-Solid-State Battery Industry-Academia-Research Collaborative Innovation Platform Annual Conference Convenes

On February 7, 2026, the annual closed-door meeting of the China Solid-State Battery Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation Platform was held in Beijing. The meeting brought together various forces from government, industry, academia, and research institutions, focusing on the research and development progress of solid-state batteries, common strategic judgments, and in-depth discussions on common key technical issues. Ouyang Minggao, chairman of the platform, pointed out that major technological changes require accumulation and gradual development, and solid-state batteries are a major strategic direction for the upgrade and replacement of the next generation of batteries. Currently, China has made important phased progress in the research and development of solid-state batteries, but also faces many practical challenges. High-energy density sulfide solid-state batteries still need to overcome a series of scientific key difficulties in key materials, interfaces, composite materials, electrodes, and battery cores. Looking to the future, we must have confidence, overcome difficulties, and actively strive to maintain China's leading position in the global lithium battery industry.
