On March 17, the "Good Citizen Award 2023 Presentation Ceremony" was held in Hong Kong. ZA Bank was awarded the annual "Good Institution Award" by the Hong Kong Police Force for its assistance in promoting crime prevention efforts. ZA Bank is the only bank to receive an award this year and the first Hong Kong virtual bank to receive this award, recognizing its performance in safeguarding user funds, preventing money laundering, and fraud. Yao Wensong, CEO of ZA Bank, said, "ZA Bank is honored to receive the 'Good Institution Award'. We have been committed to using financial technology and our own technology to safeguard user funds and prevent risks such as money laundering and fraud. We will continue to invest resources in strengthening the detection and prevention of suspicious financial activities and strive to provide innovative services to customers while promoting the development of compliance technology and related fields." As a technology-driven virtual bank, ZA Bank has been committed to safeguarding user funds through financial technology. According to the 2023 ZA Bank Technology White Paper, through its self-developed card transaction system, model-driven card transaction risk control system, and innovative ZA Verify feature, ZA Bank's annual fraud amount is 15 times lower than the industry average in Hong Kong, providing customers with 15 times the security. Since its establishment in 2020, ZA Bank has continuously introduced and improved various financial technologies and now has nearly 20 financial compliance technology, risk management, and information technology security systems, with nearly half self-developed, including real-time fraud detection technology (X Decision) and anti-fraud post-approval management system. Currently, ZA Bank's risk management and information technology security systems have developed to the third generation technology, operating 24/7 to ensure the security of user funds. The Hong Kong "Good Citizen Award" was established in 1973 with the theme of "Hello, citizen" and is now in its 51st year. The event is organized by the Police Public Relations Branch and sponsored by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Commission on Crime Prevention. The "Good Citizen Award 2023 Presentation Ceremony" commended 80 citizens who helped combat crime and uphold the law, and awarded seven institutions with the "Good Institution Award" for their active support in promoting anti-fraud and crime prevention efforts and assisting in criminal investigations. Hong Kong Police Chief Siu Tse-ya said in his speech at the ceremony that the "Good Citizen Award Program," established for 51 years, not only highlights the importance of cooperation between the police and the public but also shows the police force's commitment to promoting community engagement and strengthening connections to different community groups.
