The company has appointed Zhang Dong as the new CEO. It is reported that the relevant work responsible for by Liu Wei has been handed over, and his resignation will not affect the normal production and operation of the company. Giant Network Group stated that during her tenure, Ms. Liu Wei fulfilled her duties diligently and played an important role in the company's management, business development, and standard operation. The Chairman and Board of Directors of the company highly appreciate and sincerely thank Ms. Liu Wei for her outstanding contributions. The company has appointed Mr. Zhang Dong as the new CEO. Zhang Dong, 43 years old, graduated from Peking University in 2002 with a major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and has nearly 20 years of experience in the gaming industry. In 2005, Zhang Dong joined Tencent Interactive Entertainment Division as a product manager. In 2009, he joined Giant Network Group as the product director for projects such as "ZT Online 2". In 2013, Zhang Dong joined NetEase and established NetEase Blizzard Games' China publishing and esports team, publishing and operating games such as "Hearthstone," "Diablo III," "Heroes of the Storm," and "Overwatch," as well as the Chinese version of "World of Warcraft" expansions. He subsequently held positions such as General Manager of Shanghai Cooperation Department, Legal Representative and Executive Director of Shanghai Wang Zhi Yi, etc. From 2022, Zhang Dong joined the NetEase CLOUD MUSIC management team, responsible for commercialization and marketing, and also served as the legal representative of the company. From 2024, Zhang Dong returned to Giant Network Group as the CEO.
