Beijing Airport (00694) has signed a de-icing service cooperation agreement with ground service company.

BEIJING AIRPORT (00694) announces that on November 17, 2023, the company has entered into a de-icing business cooperation agreement with ground handling companies. The company agrees to lease some de-icing vehicles and support vehicles to the ground handling company and entrusts them to carry out designated de-icing operations in the western area of Beijing Capital Airport. The specific operating areas will be determined by the agreement and will be in effect from November 17, 2023, to November 16, 2026. Regular aircraft de-icing, apron, and designated de-icing work are directly related to the operational efficiency and safety of Beijing Capital Airport. After a comprehensive evaluation of the existing airlines, aircraft maintenance, and ground service support units, the ground handling company is one of the only two service providers with the ability and willingness to undertake de-icing services at Beijing Capital Airport. Therefore, according to the de-icing season configuration plan for Beijing Capital Airport in 2023 and considering the capabilities of various parties, the ground handling company will be responsible for aircraft de-icing work in the western area of Beijing Capital Airport, while another independent service provider will be responsible for aircraft de-icing work in the eastern area. As the aviation operation service support unit of Beijing Capital Airport, the ground handling company is familiar with the airport operational environment and has the capability and extensive experience to provide de-icing services to airlines. The ground handling company can successfully complete the winter de-icing support work and ensure the smooth operation of Beijing Capital Airport. In addition, since the start date of the de-icing business cooperation agreement coincides with or is close to the start date of the de-icing cycle at Beijing Capital Airport, it is expected that due to the signing of this agreement and the corresponding termination of the previous de-icing business cooperation agreement, the cooperation period under the de-icing business cooperation agreement between the company and the ground handling company will coincide with the annual de-icing cycle at Beijing Capital Airport.
