MAOYE INT'L (00848) announced that the Board has appointed Huayao Securities (International) Limited ("Huayao"), a licensed corporation licensed to carry on Type 1 (dealing in securities) and Type 6 (advising on corporate finance) regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance, as the independent financial adviser to advise the Independent Board Committee (comprising all independent non-executive Directors, namely Mr. Rao Yong, Mr. Pu Bingrong and Ms. Xu Jing) on the Proposal, the Scheme and the Continuing Arrangements. The appointment of Huayao as the independent financial adviser has been approved by the Independent Board Committee in accordance with Rule 2.1 of the Takeovers Code.
