On the news front, according to AXERA's official WeChat account, the company recently officially released the AX8860 high-computing-power series of new products at the China International Industry Fair (CIIF 2026). As a high-computing-power AI chip purpose-built for deploying large models at the edge and on-device, the release of the AX8860 series marks the transition of edge AI from the technology validation stage into a new cycle of end-to-end productivity deployment oriented toward business value. The AX8860 combines 256 TOPS of mixed-precision computing power (with native FP4 support) and 273GB/s of memory bandwidth, and is equipped with 128 GB of LPDDR5X high-capacity memory, providing an ample computing foundation for large models and multimodal applications. On the interconnect and expansion front, the chip supports AXLink cascade technology and PCIe 5.0 high-speed interconnect, laying the foundation for multi-chip collaboration and elastic scaling of computing power.
