Humanwell Healthcare (600079.SH) announced that its controlling subsidiary, Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. ("Yichang Humanwell"), recently received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Diltiazem Hydrochloride Tablets. The drug is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic stable angina and angina caused by coronary artery spasm. This approval marks that Yichang Humanwell is now qualified to sell the product in the U.S. market, which will have a positive impact on the company's expansion into the U.S. generic drug market.
