During this year's National Day holiday, border inspection agencies nationwide facilitated a total of 15.462 million inbound and outbound trips by Chinese and foreign nationals, averaging 2.209 million per day, an increase of 6.7% compared to the same period last year.
On October 8, data from the National Immigration Administration showed that during this year's National Day holiday, border inspection authorities nationwide handled a total of 15.462 million inbound and outbound trips by Chinese and foreign nationals, averaging 2.209 million per day, up 6.7% year-on-year; the single-day peak for inbound and outbound clearance occurred on October 4, reaching 2.397 million trips. Among them, outbound trips by mainland residents totaled 4.444 million, up 9.3% year-on-year; inbound trips by foreign nationals totaled 682,000, with 505,000 entering under the visa-free policy, up 5.4% and 9.2% year-on-year respectively. A total of 732,000 inbound and outbound transportation vehicles (aircraft, ships, trains, and automobiles) were inspected, up 14.7% year-on-year.
