On the news front, TenNor Therapeutics recently announced positive topline results from a Phase 2a proof-of-concept clinical trial of its investigational drug candidate rifaquizinone (TNP-2092) administered via intra-articular injection for the treatment of prosthetic joint infection (PJI), indicating that TNP-2092 has the potential to treat PJI without surgical intervention. Based on these positive results, the company has initiated a multicenter Phase 2b clinical trial to accelerate the clinical development of this drug candidate. It is worth noting that TenNor Therapeutics recently held in Suzhou the kick-off meeting for the national multicenter Phase IIb clinical study of TNP-2092 in the treatment of prosthetic joint infection. The meeting focused on discussions regarding the R&D background of TNP-2092, Phase IIa proof-of-concept (POC) data, and the Phase IIb clinical trial protocol, and also included training on the new version of GCP.
