On September 22, HKD interbank rates fell broadly, with the one-month rate, which is linked to mortgage loans, reported at 2.84339%, down 2.584 basis points; the three-month rate, which reflects banks' funding costs, was reported at 3.06018%, down 1.661 basis points.
The overnight rate was reported at 2.12250%, down 2.583 basis points; the one-week interbank rate fell 0.881 basis points to 2.32845%, while the two-week rate dropped 1.328 basis points to 2.67976%. The two-month interbank rate fell 1.423 basis points to 2.98577%.
In terms of long-term rates, the six-month interbank rate rose 2.756 basis points to 3.45923%, while the one-year rate rose 1.518 basis points to 3.87845%.
