Since July, the external environment has been complex and variable, with rising geopolitical uncertainties and the continuation of fluctuations in international financial markets. Our foreign exchange market has maintained stable operations, the scale of foreign-related receipts and payments has steadily expanded, market expectations have remained generally stable, and foreign exchange trading has been rational and orderly.
From the perspective of foreign-related transaction scale, in July, the total cross-border receipts and payments of non-bank sectors such as enterprises and individuals reached 1.7 trillion USD, a year-on-year increase of 20%; the trading volume of the foreign exchange market was 4.3 trillion USD, a year-on-year increase of 8%, both maintaining a high scale.
In terms of cross-border capital flows, in July, the net inflow of funds in non-bank sectors such as enterprises and individuals was 59.8 billion USD. Among these, the net inflow of funds under goods trade remained high, while net outflows under service trade and dividends paid by foreign-funded enterprises remained stable.
Regarding the supply and demand of the foreign exchange market, in July, the surplus of bank settlements and sales of foreign exchange was 18.3 billion USD, with enterprises conducting foreign exchange trading rationally based on actual demand and changes in market conditions, resulting in a generally balanced supply and demand in the foreign exchange market.
