In news, on August 6, Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals announced that its injectable Trastuzumab has received approval for a third indication, becoming the first anti-HER2 product approved for colorectal cancer in China. This indication is for adult patients with HER2-positive colorectal cancer who have failed treatment with oxaliplatin, fluorouracil, and irinotecan. Previously, the drug had been approved for two indications: non-small cell lung cancer and breast cancer.
Notably, in June of this year, Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals' cyclosporine eye drops IV (Hengyi) were launched for the treatment of reduced tear production caused by dry eyes. As Chinas first and only 0.1% anhydrous cyclosporine eye drops, this product offers multiple therapeutic advantages and is expected to lead clinical medication iteration. With several innovative products being approved for launch one after another, the companys ophthalmology layout is entering a harvest period.
