China Biotechnology Services (08037) announced that at the 22nd Annual Academic Conference of the Japanese Society for Neutron Capture Therapy (JSNCT22) held at Kyoto University, its subsidiary Pengbo (Hainan) Boron Neutron Medical Technology Co., Ltd. presented a verbal report on the first ten head and neck cancer patients at Pengbo Hainan Hospital who received Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). The clinical real-world data from a follow-up after three months (90 days) post-treatment was shared.
CH BIOTECH SER(08037) announced that at the 22nd Annual Academic Conference of the Japanese Society for Neutron Capture Therapy (JSNCT22) held at Kyoto University, its subsidiary Pengbo (Hainan) Boron Neutron Medical Technology Co., Ltd. presented a verbal report on the clinical real-world data of the first 10 head and neck cancer patients who underwent boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) at the Pengbo (Hainan) Hospital, with a follow-up at three months (90 days) post-treatment. The results showed that among the first 10 assessable patients at the three-month (90 days) follow-up after treatment, 8 cases were confirmed as effective. The complete response rate (i.e., complete disappearance of the target tumor, no new lesions appearing, and normalization of related clinical indicators) was 40% (4 out of 10 cases); the partial response rate (i.e., the total diameter of the target tumors reduced by 30% or more, with no new lesions appearing) was also 40% (4 out of 10 cases), indicating significant clinical efficacy. The Pengbo Hainan Hospital is the flagship project of the group, located in the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone in Hainan, China. It entered a trial operation phase in February 2026 and first began treating patients in March 2026, having completed several dozen treatments to date. Leveraging the policy advantages of the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, the group has introduced the world's first approved boron neutron treatment device, the NeuCure neutron irradiation system, and the world's first approved boron neutron treatment drug, Steboronine, to provide safe and precise BNCT services for cancer patients.
