According to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, China's total foreign direct investment in all industries from January to April 2026 was 4294.2 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 3.9% (equivalent to 619.9 billion US dollars, an increase of 7.7%).
On May 26, according to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, from January to April 2026, China's total outward foreign direct investment was 429.42 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.9% (equivalent to 61.99 billion US dollars, an increase of 7.7%). Among them, Chinese investors made non-financial direct investments in 5,231 overseas enterprises in 142 countries and regions worldwide, with a total investment of 315.74 billion yuan, a decrease of 13.9% (equivalent to 45.58 billion US dollars, a decrease of 10.7%).
