Morgan Stanley: XIAOMI-W (01810) launches YU7 GT to help achieve electric vehicle shipping goals.
Target price is HKD 45, with a rating of "buy".
Morgan Stanley released a research report stating that XIAOMI-W (01810) has launched the YU7 GT, a high-performance electric SUV designed for long-distance travel and dynamic driving performance. The starting price is 389,900 RMB, with the full version priced at 429,900 RMB. In addition, Xiaomi has also launched the YU7 standard version, starting at 233,500 RMB, which is 20,000 RMB lower than the long-range version, and is expected to attract more new orders. The target price is 45 Hong Kong dollars, with a "buy" rating.
The report points out that although some investors are concerned about the potentially weak new orders for the high-priced YU7 GT, the bank believes that launching the YU7 standard version is a wise strategy, helping Xiaomi achieve its electric vehicle delivery target. In addition, Xiaomi has also introduced new products, including the Xiaomi 17 Max smartphone, Xiaomi Band 10 Pro, Xiaomi in-ear open-back headphones, and a new generation of smart home appliances, including air conditioners, TVs, refrigerators, etc. This further enriches revenue sources and diversifies them, providing a key advantage in the face of headwinds in the smartphone market.
