On May 11th, Alibaba (09988) announced that the AI application Qianwen App is fully integrated with Taobao, with Qianwen App accessing all categories of products on Taobao. A new "Qianwen AI Shopping Assistant" has been launched within the Taobao app, allowing users to complete the entire shopping process through natural language conversation, covering steps such as product discovery, comparison, ordering, and after-sales service.
According to Alibaba, users can experience multiple AI shopping functions by finding the "Qianwen AI Shopping Assistant" dialogue box on the Taobao app. These functions include integrating core features such as "AI Q&A," "AI Try-On," "AI Recommendation," and "AI Savings."
In contrast to the early days when Qianwen App only tested a small number of product categories, this full integration marks a significant breakthrough in the app's shopping capabilities. Now, users can directly access Taobao and Tmall's extensive product library of over 4 billion items within the Qianwen app, and experience complete e-commerce services through AI capabilities such as order management, logistics tracking, and after-sales support.
Qianwen App shifts the user's shopping trigger point from traditional keyword searches to open-ended questions and dialogue. The app also considers the user's past order records to provide personalized recommendations based on preferences. With its AI capabilities understanding user intent, Qianwen App can help consumers discover potential needs through daily conversations.
For businesses, Taobao and Tmall have recently upgraded the "AI Shop Assistant" product, investing in trillions of token computing power resources to help businesses shift from traditional preset Siasun Robot & Automation customer service to agent-based customer service capable of handling complex conversations and facilitating transactions.
