Global securities regulatory agencies gathered in Hong Kong this week to exchange views on the urgent issue of global secondary markets.
Discussions focused on how regulatory agencies can respond to the evolving trading environment, including progress in implementing extended trading hours, challenges in market liquidity and volatility, and related efforts to enhance global market resilience.
Mr. Leung Chung Yin, Executive Director of the Market Surveillance Department of the SFC, highlighted the role of Hong Kong as a leading international financial center and its active contribution to global regulatory measures.
Mr. Leung stated, "Hong Kong has always been committed to collaborating with international regulatory agencies to assist in developing robust global standards and promoting cross-border cooperation.
