Alphabet Inc. Class C (GOOGL.US) subsidiary Waymo has launched its robotaxi services in the twin cities of Florida, Miami and Tampa, and started testing on the highways in Miami.
Google-owned Waymo's autonomous driving taxi service is now open to all passengers in Miami and Orlando, Florida, USA, ending the previous invitation-only operating model.

The company has also started road testing on highways in Miami, making it the fourth city with highway operation services after Phoenix, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
Waymo stated on its website: "With the proven safe and reliable artificial intelligence technology of Waymo, our general autonomous driving system can be deployed stably across regions. The progress we have made in Miami and Orlando showcases the scalability of this system, bringing the future of transportation to more areas and more people."
