On April 9th, the Hong Kong dollar interbank interest rates generally rose, with the overnight interbank rate reported at 2.6%, up 53.839 basis points. The one-week interbank rate rose 40.429 basis points to 2.40429%, and the two-week interbank rate rose 34.524 basis points to 2.34524%. Meanwhile, the one-month interbank rate related to mortgages rose for three consecutive days to 2.32321%, up 24.523 basis points. The three-month interbank rate, reflecting bank funding costs, was reported at 2.42798%, up 8.203 basis points.
As for longer-term rates, the six-month interbank rate rose 5.869 basis points to 2.7%, while the one-year interbank rate fell 0.262 basis points to 3.04857%.
