On Thursday, the three major indexes opened lower and continued to decline, with the Nasdaq falling into a pullback range. After both the US and Iran sent conflicting signals about peace negotiations, oil prices rose again. During trading, US President Trump mentioned the stock market and said he thought it would fall more harshly. He stated that oil price fluctuations and stock market declines are not that "serious," but then the three major indexes continued to fall. After the US stock market closed, Trump announced that the planned strike on Iran's energy infrastructure would be suspended for 10 days, postponed to April 6th at 8 pm Eastern Time. He said negotiations with Iran are ongoing and progressing very smoothly.
