The Director of Environmental Protection in Hong Kong, Xie Zhanhuan, responded to questions from lawmakers in the Legislative Council by stating that the current energy supply in Hong Kong is stable. The Hong Kong government will remain vigilant and closely monitor geopolitical changes, international energy price trends, and the local fuel supply situation to ensure a stable energy supply. He mentioned that about 80% of petroleum products in Hong Kong come from mainland China, and the department will maintain communication with relevant mainland units to support the stable supply of major raw materials to Hong Kong.
