After adjustment, the maximum price for vehicle liquefied petroleum gas at special gas stations is between 3.42 and 4.36 Hong Kong dollars per liter, with an increase of zero to 0.01 Hong Kong dollars per liter.
On March 25, Hong Kong's Electrical and Mechanical Services Department announced that the maximum retail price of liquefied petroleum gas for vehicles at dedicated LPG filling stations (dedicated stations) during the period from April 1 to April 30, 2026 will be adjusted. A spokesperson for the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department stated that the adjustment on April 1, 2026 reflects changes in international LPG prices in March 2026. After the adjustment, the maximum retail price of vehicle LPG at dedicated stations will range from HK$3.42 to HK$4.36 per liter, with an increase of zero to HK$0.01 per liter. The spokesperson pointed out that the maximum retail price of vehicle LPG is determined based on a pricing formula specified in the contract. This pricing formula includes two elements: international LPG prices and LPG operating costs. The international LPG price refers to the price of international LPG in the previous month, while LPG operating costs will be adjusted on February 1 and June 1 each year based on the average changes in the Composite Consumer Price Index and the Nominal Wage Index.
