On March 23, Assistant Minister of Commerce of China, Yuan Xiaoming, and Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Chan Mo-po, jointly chaired the eighth meeting of the Mainland and Hong Kong Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, on March 23rd, Assistant Minister of Commerce Yuan Xiaoming and Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region jointly chaired the 8th meeting of the Mainland and Hong Kong Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee. Paul Chan Mo-po stated that the national economic development has provided Hong Kong with vast opportunities and space, and Hong Kong is fully leveraging its unique advantages of being backed by the motherland and connecting with the world under the "One Country, Two Systems" framework. With the support of the Ministry of Commerce, the economic and trade cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong has yielded fruitful results.
