He Xiaopeng's first "Ask Me Anything" live broadcast: detailed explanation of Xiaopeng's second-generation VLA real capabilities

On March 16, before the launch of Xiaopeng Motors' second-generation VLA system, Xiaopeng Motors (09868) held an "Ask Me Anything" live broadcast. Xiaopeng Motors' Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng, along with General Intelligence Center leader Liu Xianming, attended the event to answer users' core questions, clarify the deployment and upgrade plans, verify the real capabilities of the second-generation VLA system, and build a strong trust barrier with users. During the 2-hour AMA live broadcast, a total of 22 core user concerns were addressed, demonstrating Xiaopeng Motors' user-oriented philosophy, confidence in the second-generation VLA system's capabilities, and determination to lead the development of intelligent driving.
During the live broadcast, He Xiaopeng first shared the market response since the nationwide launch of the second-generation VLA test drives at 732 stores on March 11. He stated that the market feedback since the launch of the second-generation VLA test drives at stores has far exceeded expectations, resulting in a doubling of test drive sales at stores, with a significant increase in Ultra model sales. Many users have made special trips to the stores with their families to experience the test drives, and have stated that in some situations, the second-generation VLA system performs better than a professional driver.
He Xiaopeng also clearly outlined the deployment schedule for different models of the second-generation VLA system: gradual deployment will start on March 19, with the P7 Ultra model expected to be the first to be deployed, followed by the G7 and X9 Ultra models. Users of the P7, G7, and X9 models will gradually receive the updates within this month. In April, the deployment will continue with the 2026 models of Xiaopeng P7+ Ultra | Ultra SE, G9 Ultra | Ultra SE, G6 Ultra | Ultra SE, and G7 Ultra | Ultra SE.
Furthermore, He Xiaopeng and Liu Xianming promised that there is no "special edition" of the second-generation VLA system. Liu Xianming emphasized that the mass-produced version of the second-generation VLA will not back down. The media test drive version is just one of several branches of the second version, but the version that will be mass-produced and deployed, the twenty-eighth branch of the fourth version. The mass-produced version of the second-generation VLA system provides an experience as excellent as the media test drive version, if not more stable and consistent.
He Xiaopeng expressed his hope that the second-generation VLA system will achieve a score of over eighty or even ninety before being deployed to users. In the past, in the era of traditional rules, it was difficult to generalize areas without traffic signs from China to overseas. Now, Xiaopeng's intelligent driving system minimizes rule dependencies as much as possible, continuously digesting information through AI models, understanding the world, thereby improving overall performance to prevent the occurrence of "two-faced" discrepancies.
In addition, regarding the user's concerns about version differences, He Xiaopeng provided an answer: the Ultra version is designed for L4-level capabilities, supporting all scenarios; the Max version achieves the industry's best L2-level assisted driving capabilities, mainly covering high-speed highways, main city roads, and other frequently used scenarios. In terms of deployment, Xiaopeng Motors plans to complete the deployment of the Max distilled version in the second half of this year. Furthermore, He Xiaopeng announced the latest news about the Xiaopeng P7, which will introduce the Max version with a single Turing and the Ultra SE version with dual Turing on March 18.
