Power Construction Corporation of China, Ltd (POWERCHINA) has signed a joint venture contract for a 56.36 billion yuan highway design and construction general contracting project.

Power Construction Corporation of China, Ltd (POWERCHINA) announced that recently, the company and its subsidiary companies, Power Construction Corporation of China, Ltd (POWERCHINA Municipal Construction Group Co., Ltd) and Power Construction Corporation of China, Ltd (POWERCHINA Chengdu Survey & Design Research Institute Co., Ltd), formed a consortium and signed a contract with Montenegro Highway Company for the design and construction of the Montenegro Matievo-Andrijevica Highway project. The contract is valued at approximately 5.636 billion RMB. The project starts from Matievo in northern Montenegro and ends in Andrijevica in the northeast, with a total length of 22 kilometers. It is an important part of the transportation mainline connecting the capital of Montenegro, Podgorica, to the Serbian border. The project will be constructed according to the standards of a dual carriageway highway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The main construction components include large bridges, two-way tunnels, culverts, emergency lanes, and other highway facilities. The project has a construction period of 60 months and a warranty period of 24 months.
