TrendForce: It is expected that the prices of TV and monitor panels will continue to rise in February, while laptop panel prices will remain under pressure.
TrendForce predicts that in February 2026, the prices of television panels will continue to rise, with prices of certain sizes of monitor panels increasing, while laptop panel prices are expected to decrease.
TrendForce released its February panel price trend forecast, predicting that in February 2026, TV panel prices are expected to continue to rise due to demand performing better than expected. Some monitor panel sizes are also expected to increase in price. However, laptop panel prices are expected to decrease due to stable demand from manufacturers fighting for orders.
Specifically:
TV Panels
In February, TV panel demand remains relatively stable, and panel manufacturers have announced capacity adjustments during the Chinese New Year holiday period. This is expected to support a balance between supply and demand and contribute to the rise in TV panel prices. It is estimated that TV panel prices in February may see a general upward trend, with prices for 32-inch, 43-inch, and 50-inch panels expected to increase by $1, and 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch panels expected to increase by $2.
Monitor Panels
As TV panel prices establish an upward trend in February and demand for monitor panels exceeds expectations, panel manufacturers are starting to actively consider raising monitor panel prices. Following price increases for Open Cell panels in the southern China market in January and February, panel manufacturers are expected to start raising prices for monitor panel modules in February as well.
For the 23.8-inch FHD supply, the Open Cell panel price is estimated to increase by $0.3 in February, while the 27-inch FHD Open Cell panel is estimated to increase by $0.1. The 23.8-inch FHD panel module is also expected to increase by $0.2.
Laptop Panels
In February, due to tight supply and rising prices of storage and other semiconductor components, laptop brands continue to stock up on laptop panels early. However, the demand for lower laptop panel prices remains strong. In order to maintain relationships with laptop brands, panel manufacturers continue to soften their stance on prices under the stable order competition in the short term. As a result, laptop panel prices are expected to decrease across all sizes in February, with TN models estimated to decrease by $0.1 and IPS models estimated to decrease by $0.2.
