Macao Tourism Bureau: Mainland Chinese Spring Festival holiday expected to attract over 1.4 million visitors to Macau.

The Director of the Macao Tourism Office, Wu Qihua, predicts that during this year's Spring Festival holiday, the daily average number of tourists from the mainland will range from 158,000 to 175,000, with over 1.4 million tourists visiting Macao during the holiday period. She also hopes that the total number of tourists visiting Macao for the whole year will reach 41 million.
The Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, expects that during the mainland Chinese New Year holiday this year, the daily average number of tourists will be between 158,000 and 175,000, with over 1.4 million tourists visiting Macao during the holiday period. She also hopes that the total number of visitors to Macao this year will reach 41 million. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes also mentioned that, in addition to traditional markets such as Southeast Asia and Europe and America, they will continue to expand into the Middle Eastern market this year, including countries like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. One of the focus areas for this year is to make good use of the new policies introduced by the government, such as the extension of the 240-hour visa-free policy for travelers passing through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Hengqin ports, in order to attract more international visitors to Macao.
