NETDRAGON (00777) announced that the company, together with its subsidiary EDA (Thailand), is jointly promoting an artificial intelligence (AI) program supported by the Thai government. The program aims to create an AI-driven "Learn-to-Career" ecosystem to connect education, skills training, and productivity enhancement, helping Thailand build a competitive talent pool for the future. The collaboration was officially launched in Bangkok recently, reflecting the increasing policy support from the Thai government. AI is not only serving the education sector but also becoming a key engine to support labor force upgrading, enhance economic competitiveness, and drive long-term productivity growth across industries. With EDA (Thailand) playing the role of a local ecosystem builder and leveraging NETDRAGON's global experience in AI-driven learning platforms and digital talent system development, the program aims to address key challenges faced by Thailand. This includes how to achieve large-scale talent development and transformation in the context of AI technology rapidly reshaping the labor market. By signing a strategic memorandum of understanding, the parties aim to advance AI-driven talent development. As a crucial part of the program, they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism to systematically promote Thailand's development in AI-driven learning, skills assessment, and talent development. With policy support from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) in Thailand, NETDRAGON and EDA (Thailand) will collaborate to develop AI-enabled learning platforms, competency assessment frameworks, and career connection mechanisms to ensure that Thailand's talent development efforts align accurately with practical employment needs. The MOU reflects the parties' common commitment to integrating AI deeply into the entire process from learning to employment, ensuring that the outcomes of skills training are effectively transformed into quantifiable productivity enhancements and increased employability. The core of this collaboration is to redefine "employment readiness" in the AI era. Unlike viewing AI as a single or additional skill, the "Learn-to-Career" model embeds AI into the entire process of talent development, from skills assessment and personalized learning path planning to practical applications and career matching. The program, with a focus on quantifiable results, aims to help learners, educational institutions, and employers align effectively to ensure that skills training remains synchronized with evolving demands in the job market. In the panel discussion segment of the event, Dr. Leung Nian Kin, Vice Chairman and Executive Director of NETDRAGON, pointed out that AI is reshaping industries and society at an unprecedented speed and scale. He stated, "The development of AI is progressing rapidly, sometimes even beyond our expectations. Governments must take an active role in guiding to ensure that the technological dividends of AI benefit the entire society." Drawing on regional development experiences, Dr. Leung noted that Asia's policy-driven model has effectively accelerated the widespread adoption of AI across industries. He added, "China's top-down policy-driven model has facilitated the extensive deployment of AI in various industries, and Thailand's current development direction is equally inspiring and impressive." NETDRAGON and EDA (Thailand) also emphasized that AI has a "levelling effect" in enhancing productivity, especially significant for the small and medium enterprises that are the backbone of the Thai economy. Dr. Leung said, "For small and medium enterprises, AI is an important equalizer. It can significantly boost productivity and narrow the development gap between small and large enterprises." By integrating AI-enabled skills frameworks and clearer competency assessment standards, the program aims to help small and medium enterprises efficiently acquire talent with AI skills and quantify the employability of workers. All parties involved believe that this collaboration could serve as a replicable model for other emerging economies in Asia, showcasing how policy support and collaboration between government and businesses can accelerate the widespread adoption of AI while maintaining a strong focus on labor development outcomes. Looking ahead, NETDRAGON and EDA (Thailand) reiterated their commitment to expanding the coverage and accessibility of AI-enabled learning, deepening cross-sector collaborations, and building a resilient talent pool to support the sustainable growth of the Thai economy.
