On November 24, RoboSense and DiDi Autonomous Driving announced a strategic partnership to develop a new generation of Robotaxi vehicle models.
On November 24th, RoboSense (02498) announced a partnership with Didi Autonomous Driving to provide a new generation of Robotaxi models. RoboSense will provide its industry-leading digitally automated LiDAR sensing solutions, including the EM4 high-resolution LiDAR and the E1 all-solid-state LiDAR, to enable Didi's Robotaxi models to achieve "long-range accurate identification + near-range blind spot elimination" for comprehensive perception assurance. In the new generation Robotaxi perception solution, the combination of "4 EM4 and 4 to 6 E1 LiDARs" will be the mainstream configuration. The EM4 and E1 LiDARs utilize self-developed SPAD-SoC chips and VCSEL architecture, offering high performance and robustness. With its industry-leading mass production capabilities, they have become the preferred perception solution for the new generation of Robotaxi. The EM4 LiDAR, with the highest number of lines in the industry and the strongest ranging capability, can accurately identify small obstacles in the distance, providing the vehicle system with more reaction time. It has been designated as the main LiDAR for many top Robotaxi customers in North America and China. The E1 LiDAR, as a solid-state blind spot LiDAR, has a super wide field of view of 12090, eliminating blind spots in the near field and becoming the preferred solution for Robotaxi deployment. It has been formally designated by 8 top global enterprises. Additionally, RoboSense has partnered with over 90% of the top L4 enterprises globally. The North American Silicon Valley-based Robotaxi and Robotruck customers equipped with EM4 and E1 will expand their operations by the end of the year.
