NETDRAGON Networks Holdings Limited ("NETDRAGON", 00777), a leading global internet community creator, is pleased to announce the signing of a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding with Open University Malaysia (OUM) in Fuzhou, China. This cooperation signifies the integration of their strengths in open education and digital technology, exploring the deep integration and application of cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of education, setting a new benchmark for global open and distance education development. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Lin Qian Jian, Vice Chairman of NETDRAGON, and Professor Datuk Dr. Lope Pihie, Vice President (Student Experience and Technology) of Open University Malaysia. The signing was done by Mr. Chen Hong, Senior Vice President of NETDRAGON, and Professor Datuk Dr. Hj Mohd Azraai Mohamed Noor, Vice President (Academic and Research) of Open University Malaysia. According to the memorandum, the two parties will establish a forward-looking cooperation framework focusing on the innovative application of AI and digital technology in education. They will explore areas such as AI-driven digital education content, cutting-edge technology certification and laboratory construction, skills enhancement and curriculum development, and digital education ecosystem construction. They will jointly develop AI-driven digital teaching content and integrate intelligent learning analytics features into OUM's learning management platform, including psychological health monitoring boards and AI-driven psychological assessment systems, to provide precise insights into learners' behaviors and emotions, offer personalized learning interventions, and enhance teaching effectiveness comprehensively. Additionally, the cooperation will explore digital certificates and micro-credentialing systems to ensure the security and credibility of academic diplomas, and plan to jointly establish an "Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation Laboratory" focusing on cutting-edge research topics such as instructional design, gamified learning, and AI education ethics. Furthermore, the two parties will jointly develop micro-credentialing courses and vocational technical education training programs to enhance learners' employability, and provide language certification services. They will also collaborate on building a digital education ecosystem based on OUM and its strategic partner network, promoting the implementation of joint digital education projects and engaging in thought leadership cooperation to participate in global open education policy dialogues and shape the innovative development of future open universities. In his speech at the signing ceremony, Mr. Chen Hong, Senior Vice President of NETDRAGON, stated, "This strategic cooperation with Open University Malaysia is another significant achievement for NETDRAGON in the field of higher education following collaborations with institutions such as UNESCO.
