According to reports, Microsoft Corporation (MSFT.US) plans to lease data center computing power from Nscale company, with the facilities located in Portugal, and will be equipped with NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) artificial intelligence chips. The data center is located in the south of Lisbon and is expected to start operations early next year, deploying 12,600 NVIDIA Corporation Blackwell Ultra GPUs. Microsoft Corporation is leasing part of the computing power to meet its growing artificial intelligence needs. Nscale is a UK-based provider of large-scale computing services. Last month, the company announced a partnership with Microsoft Corporation, NVIDIA Corporation, and OpenAI to develop a 50-megawatt artificial intelligence computing facility in the Ralston Park in the north of London. In addition, Nscale completed a $1.1 billion Series B financing in September this year, the largest financing in European history. Shortly after this milestone financing, the company completed a $413 million Pre-C round SAFE financing, with participation from investors such as NVIDIA Corporation and Dell Technologies, Inc. Class C (DELL.US). "The attention from the outside world has been inspiring for us," said Josh Pain, CEO and founder of Nscale. "Seeing the enthusiasm and confidence of our core investors in Nscale, aligned with our own expectations for the company, is exhilarating. Just days after the end of Series B financing, investors committed to participating in our Pre-C round SAFE financing, which strongly confirms our vision of creating autonomous, scalable infrastructure for the AI era."
