In the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of residents nationwide was 21,840 yuan, an increase of 5.3% compared to the same period last year in nominal terms, and a real growth of 5.4% after deducting price factors.
Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of residents in China was 21,840 yuan, a nominal increase of 5.3% compared to the same period last year, with a real growth of 5.4% after deducting price factors. Looking at urban and rural areas separately, the per capita disposable income of urban residents was 28,844 yuan, a 4.7% increase, with a real growth of 4.7% after deducting price factors; the per capita disposable income of rural residents was 11,936 yuan, a 5.9% increase, with a real growth of 6.2% after deducting price factors. By income source, in the first half of the year, the per capita wage income of residents in China was 12,628 yuan, a 5.7% increase, accounting for 57.8% of disposable income; the per capita net operating income was 3,407 yuan, a 5.3% increase, accounting for 15.6% of disposable income; the per capita net property income was 1,825 yuan, a 2.5% increase, accounting for 8.4% of disposable income; and the per capita net transfer income was 3,980 yuan, a 5.6% increase, accounting for 18.2% of disposable income. In the first half of the year, the median per capita disposable income of residents in China was 18,186 yuan, a 4.8% increase, with the median income being 83.3% of the average income. Specifically, the median per capita disposable income of urban residents was 25,380 yuan, a 4.0% increase, with the median income being 88.0% of the average income; the median per capita disposable income of rural residents was 10,060 yuan, a 5.5% increase, with the median income being 84.3% of the average income. In the first half of the year, the average per capita consumption expenditure of residents in China was 14,309 yuan, a 5.2% nominal increase compared to the same period last year, with a real growth of 5.3% after deducting price factors. Looking at urban and rural areas separately, the average per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents was 17,545 yuan, a 4.6% increase, with a real growth of 4.6% after deducting price factors; the average per capita consumption expenditure of rural residents was 9,733 yuan, a 5.8% increase, with a real growth of 6.1% after deducting price factors. In terms of expenditure composition, in the first half of the year, the average per capita expenditure on food, tobacco, and alcohol was 4,355 yuan, a 3.3% increase, accounting for 30.4% of total consumption expenditure; the average per capita expenditure on clothing was 843 yuan, a 2.1% increase, accounting for 5.9% of total consumption expenditure; the average per capita expenditure on housing was 3,092 yuan, a 2.9% increase, accounting for 21.6% of total consumption expenditure; the average per capita expenditure on household goods and services was 804 yuan, a 9.0% increase, accounting for 5.6% of total consumption expenditure; the average per capita expenditure on transportation and communication was 1,972 yuan, an 8.4% increase, accounting for 13.8% of total consumption expenditure; the average per capita expenditure on education, culture, and entertainment was 1,499 yuan, an 11.8% increase, accounting for 10.5% of total consumption expenditure; the average per capita expenditure on medical care was 1,314 yuan, a 3.4% increase, accounting for 9.2% of total consumption expenditure; and the average per capita expenditure on other goods and services was 430 yuan, a 10.4% increase, accounting for 3.0% of total consumption expenditure.
