On July 15, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, in June, the output of raw coal, crude oil, and natural gas in large-scale industries (hereinafter referred to as large-scale industries) grew steadily, and the growth rate of electricity production increased. In June, the electricity generation of large-scale industries was 796.3 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 1.7% year-on-year, with the growth rate accelerating by 1.2 percentage points compared to May; the daily electricity generation was 265.4 billion kilowatt-hours. From January to June, the electricity generation of large-scale industries was 453.71 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 0.8% year-on-year. Excluding the effect of the number of days, the daily electricity generation increased by 1.3% year-on-year. Original text: Energy production situation in June 2025 In June, the output of raw coal, crude oil, and natural gas in large-scale industries grew steadily, while the growth rate of electricity production increased. I. Production of raw coal, crude oil, and natural gas and related situations The production of raw coal grew steadily. In June, the output of raw coal in large-scale industries was 420 million tons, an increase of 3.0% year-on-year, with the growth rate slowing down by 1.2 percentage points compared to May; the daily output was 14.04 million tons. From January to June, the output of raw coal in large-scale industries was 2.4 billion tons, an increase of 5.4% year-on-year. Crude oil production remained stable. In June, the output of crude oil in large-scale industries was 18.2 million tons, an increase of 1.4% year-on-year, with the growth rate slowing down by 0.4 percentage points compared to May; the daily output was 0.607 million tons. From January to June, the output of crude oil in large-scale industries was 108.48 million tons, an increase of 1.3%. Crude oil processing turned from decline to growth. In June, the processing of crude oil in large-scale industries was 62.24 million tons, an increase of 8.5% year-on-year, compared to a decrease of 1.8% in May; the daily processing was 2.075 million tons. From January to June, the processing of crude oil in large-scale industries was 36.161 million tons, an increase of 1.6%. Natural gas production grew steadily. In June, the output of natural gas in large-scale industries was 21.2 billion cubic meters, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year, with the growth rate slowing down by 4.5 percentage points compared to May; the daily output was 0.71 billion cubic meters. From January to June, the output of natural gas in large-scale industries was 130.8 billion cubic meters, an increase of 5.8%. II. Electricity production situation The growth rate of electricity production in large-scale industries accelerated. By variety, in June, the growth rates of thermal power and wind power in large-scale industries slowed down, the decline in hydropower narrowed, and the growth rates of nuclear power and CECEP Solar Energy generation accelerated. Specifically, thermal power generation in large-scale industries increased by 1.1% year-on-year, with the growth rate slowing down by 0.1 percentage points compared to May; hydropower generation in large-scale industries decreased by 4.0%, with the decline narrowing by 10.3 percentage points compared to May; nuclear power generation in large-scale industries increased by 10.3%, with the growth rate accelerating by 3.6 percentage points compared to May; wind power generation in large-scale industries increased by 3.2%, with the growth rate slowing down by 7.8 percentage points compared to May; CECEP Solar Energy generation in large-scale industries increased by 18.3%, with the growth rate accelerating by 11.0 percentage points compared to May.
