Macau: Large-scale concert events boost Macau's casino industry in July, with GALAXY ENT (00027) listed as the top stock.

Macquarie released a research report stating that GALAXY ENT (00027) is the preferred stock, and it is expected that the full operation of Cappella by the end of this year will help the group seize a high market share in the mid to high-end segment. Additionally, the Macau Galaxy is the venue for Jacky Cheung's concert, expected to be a major beneficiary. The rating outperforms the market, with a target price of 46.9 Hong Kong dollars. The Macau gaming industry started strong in July, with channel data showing that in the week ending July 6, daily gaming revenue reached 716 million Macau dollars, a 30% year-on-year increase. Macquarie believes it was driven by large events such as Jacky Cheung's concert, as well as the high win rates in VIP rooms. Compared to June levels, the mid-tier segment saw a 2% to 4% growth, while VIP rooms remained stable. Win rates were at 3.3% to 3.5%, compared to 2.9% to 3.1% last year. The bank also mentioned that the Thailand entertainment complex bill may be postponed, as reported by local media, the new cabinet may need to reassess the new law, and it is expected that the Thai government will prioritize issues such as US tariffs.
