Despite adjusting their outlook for the near future, analysts at Mizuho Securities still have confidence in Fiserv's ability to achieve its growth targets. The revised forecasts still align with the performance guidance previously provided by Fiserv.
Financial technology company Fiserv, Inc. (FI.US) has been listed as one of the top 11 financial technology stocks to watch. Recently, Mizuho lowered the company's target stock price from $200 to $194, while maintaining an "Outperform" rating. The target price adjustment was due to Mizuho's revised expectations for Fiserv's Clover payment processing platform. Mizuho now expects Clover's transaction volume growth rate in the second quarter to be 8%, lower than the previous forecast of 9%. Additionally, Mizuho lowered the growth expectation for Clover for the full year of 2025 from 11% to 9%. However, excluding the impact of gateway conversion, the business is still expected to achieve lower double-digit percentage growth in 2025. Mizuho noted that 2025 is expected to be a strong year for Fiserv's second half performance, suggesting that the company's performance in the latter part of the year may be more impressive. It is expected that its second quarter performance will be on par with the first quarter. Despite the recent adjustments to the outlook, Mizuho analysts remain confident in Fiserv's ability to achieve its growth targets. The adjusted forecasts still align with the performance guidance previously provided by Fiserv. As a global leader in financial technology and payments, Fiserv offers a range of services including banking, global commerce, billing and payments, merchant acquiring, and point-of-sale solutions. Through strategic international expansion and product innovation, the company continues to solidify its leading position in the financial services industry. Despite facing uncertainty in the macroeconomic environment and challenges in market competition, Fiserv remains poised for long-term stable growth with its strong market competitiveness and innovation.
